Russian professional Andrey Rublev has been one of the most proactive players on the Tour. Other than his performances on the court, the 25-year-old is known to take a tough stand on issues that matter the most. Rublev carved his place in the tennis world when he wrote the ‘No War Please’ message in March last year.

This time again Rublev made it to the headline for his activism. The Russian has shared a post with deep meaning talking about his depression, his views on life, and what to do to bring change. Rublev had shared his views on the touchy subject of mental health earlier too.

“Here is a doze of migraine to your heads. I know I’m depressive and always have been thinking about life and death for too much, but before my days will end I will keep fighting for what I believe, what I love, and who I love,” Rublev wrote.

Former World No 5 Rublev has faced mental health issues in his career. In 2021 Rublev admitted he felt “depressed” after suffering a shock exit in Moscow. “I was born to compete and now I couldn’t and that’s where moments of depression came from,” Rublev accepted for the first time in 2019 that he was going through depression.

“We have been working on something important and close to me. And we would like to share with you something that can be bigger than just a brand, something that can help people, and the planet,” Rublev said while launching his brand ‘Rublo”.

“Something that will be a symbol of hope and kindness. It’s gonna be an interesting year and hopefully, all together we will be able to add a bit of light in this dark world,” he further added. Currently the No 8, Rublev will start his season at the Adelaide International against Roberto Bautista Agut. Later Rublev will participate in the Australian Open.

Other than his own brand, Rublev also announced that he will no longer be associated with Nike as he will be donning his own brand. The logo of Rublo looks like a pair of stylized “angel wings”. On his website, Rublev mentioned that the brand is not about kindness for yourself, others, and our planet.
