British tennis player Andy Murray is currently going through a rough patch in his career. The 3-time Grand Slam winner was deemed to be the next big thing of tennis during his prime, but a series of injuries plagued his career. As it now stands, he is suffering to even win matches against much lower-ranked players in the ATP 250s and that is not a good place to be for any player of his stature.

The Brit is set to participate in the Doha Open next and ahead of his first match in the tournament; he acknowledged the fact that he is currently at a phase in his career that he has never experienced before and thus it is obviously tough for him.

Murray is not winning matches, and it leads to a lack of confidence and it’s kind of obvious. However, he assured that he has not lost his hunger to prove himself. It is his love for the game and belief in himself that is pushing him to keep on performing to prove his haters wrong, as the popular opinion among fans is that he must retire now.

You can deal with it as a kind of learning. You lose confidence and that kind of thing. That's what's happening to me now and I hope it changes. I haven't lost my hunger for sport, training or competitio. I'm enjoying everything what it takes to prepare for tournaments and matches.

I hope the situation turns around, it is a good experience for me, not only for my tennis career, but for life in general as well. Things are not always perfect and everyone goes through difficult times, where things don't go well

The 3-time Grand Slam winner recently lost to Tomas Machac in the first round of the Marseille Open. Before that, he also lost to Benoit Paire in the first round of the Montpellier Open. The Brit must come up with a solid performance in the Doha Open to redeem himself from these back-to-back first-round losses.
