World No. 59 Andy Murray is currently out of action, having picked up an injury recently. Playing in the 2024 Miami Masters, the Briton suffered a full rupture of his ATFL and near full thickness rupture of his CFL. As a result, he is expected to stay out for an extended period, giving rest to ‘Fraser McKnight‘.

Given he had played only 12 matches on clay since the start of 2018, it was expected that he would not be very active during the Golden Swing. But the injury will be a setback for him as he would have loved to stay fully fit ahead of the grass season.

Having hinted at retiring at the end of British summer, the former World No. 1 might be in his final few months of professional tennis. Amid this, the player went back to acting, pretending to be the character Fraser McKnight.

Recently, the ATP Tour pranked all their fans, claiming the entire sport is scripted with actors playing the role of the players. Murray was declared as a character being played by McKnight as he sat with a straight face and revealed the secrets of the Tour.

So me and Jamie are actually brothers. But the woman who plays our mother, she's an actor — but not a very good one. Me and Jamie both auditioned for the part of Andy, which has been a little bit awkward.

Judy Murray didn’t like the dig at her and was quick to comment on the video on Instagram. She, however, stayed in her character and defended her acting skills in response to the comment by her son. She later tweeted the video as well, adding an emoji with a curious face.

Disappointed with this. I thought her performances were worthy of an Oscar nomination.

Will the ATP Tour release a full series of ‘The Tour: A Reality Show’?

Tennis fans had high expectations when Netflix announced ‘Breakpoint’. The show was supposed to be similar to that of ‘F1: Drive to Survive, but Breakpoint couldn’t match the expectations. It was eventually discontinued after two seasons, with mixed reactions from players and fans alike.

Amid this, the ATP Tour came up with the brilliant idea of ‘The Tour: A Reality Show’. Big names like Murray, Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Dominic Thiem, Stan Wawrinka and many others. The reception has been brilliant with the players acting well and enjoying the concept.

While there have been small snippets released since then, the Tour is yet to confirm whether they will continue it longer. While many on social media have voiced their opinion to see more of it, there has been no confirmation so far if the ‘Mockumentary’ will be scaled up.
