Andy Murray‘s mother Judy Murray shared a sarcastic post on her X handle recently. Judy was in Heathrow when an advertisement featuring her son was televised on the screen. The reaction from the proud mother was everything to see.

The video has won the hearts of the fans. In the post, the former World No. 1’s mother wrote,

Minding my own business in the British Airways lounge at Heathrow and look who pops up on the screen beside my table.... thankfully he had shaved.

Judy Murray is a tennis coach, and she provided the early foundations of tennis to both her sons, Andy Murray and Jamie Murray, before handing them over to other professional coaches. The success of her sons in their careers is a testament to her hard work at their young age. Thus, watching her son on large television screens in airports must have made her so proud.

Andy Murray has arrived in Brisbane on Thursday to begin his preparations for the Australian Open. Murray will also feature in the Brisbane International, where players like Rafael Nadal and Grigor Dimitrov will also be playing.

What’s next for Andy Murray in his career?

The 36-year-old player has been an absolute veteran of the sport. Winning the Olympic gold twice in his career has registered his name in the history books of tennis. However, he hasn’t had a season to boast off in 2023.

Though he won a couple of challengers, he couldn’t live up to the expectations of his fans and the tennis pundits. He also reached the finals of the Qatar Open, where he lost to Daniil Medvedev in straight sets.

His performances in major Grand Slam events have been absolutely disastrous this season. He was eliminated from the third round of the Australian Open and the third rounds of the US Open and Wimbledon.

Due to this, there have been echoes heard of his retirement coming from various tennis pundits. However, after he landed in Brisbane, he opened up about his retirement. The Brit was of the firm belief that he would still love to play tennis and reach the likes of Rafa and Novak Djokovic.

Thus, the Brisbane International and the Australian Open would be a big stage for him to announce his comeback to form. However, the Australian courts haven’t been kind to him, as he lost in the finals of the tournament five times. He would like to rectify things this time around.
