Andy Murray, the British tennis pro, released a very cryptic message during the post-match interview after another horrific loss at the Dubai Tennis Championships. Not able to find any form, the Brit struggles to find the wins as his confidence and self-belief get hurt.
After a first-round close match against Canadian Denis Shapolapov, Murray was up against Ugo Humbert for a spot in the quarterfinals.
However, the match ended sooner than one could expect. The Frenchman went in all guns blazing, not giving any freebies to his opponent. He won 6-2, 6-4, and advanced to the quarter-finals.
This marked another failed run for Murray, who seems to have lost his confidence as his slump doesn’t seem to end.
Contemplating retirement, the Brit gave a cryptic interview after the match. According to the fans on X, Murray had allegedly stated that he was likely to not play tennis after this summer.
Recently, the 36-year-old displayed his frustration during the match. He clearly said that this game was not for him anymore, as he lost some easy points, taking the match deeper than he expected. As he approaches the end of his career, Murray is finding it exceptionally hard to get some wins as his streak of losses extends.
