Former American tennis ace Andy Roddick has lashed out at South Carolina’s representative Nancy Mace calling her a hypocrite over Mace’s latest comments. Roddick looked frustrated at the false promises Mace had been making to fool people and lure them into taking part in the fundraising on her website and also playing a big part in Kevin McCarthy’s ouster as the House Speaker.

Roddick said that it has become a never-ending process with politicians seeking funds and then talking about it on TV. The former tennis ace also questioned if Nancy Mace actually believed in what she was selling to the people of America.

“And round and round we go. All fundraising and TV. No actual policy. Hypocrisy is the constant. Watch this, and then say that these people actually truly believe what they’re selling,” commented Roddick while sharing a clip of Mace speaking on TV about McCarthy’s ouster.

Why is Nancy Mace making headlines?

South Carolina’s representative Nancy Mace has been making the headlines for her decision to oust Kevin McCarthy as the House Speaker. The Republican has been facing the heat from all corners for her decision. However, Mace is not backing down and has instead blamed McCarthy for his ouster saying he did not fulfill the promises made.

“I was very public about what promises I was made legislatively and what those timelines were,” Mace said in a press call with South Carolina reporters on Oct. 4 (via The Post and Courier). “And to date, none of those things have happened,” Mace said. She also defended the email sent right after her vote against McCarthy. Mace said that she did not click the send button until threats started to come in.

“I didn’t hit the send button until the threats started coming in, whether it was from fellow members of Congress or outside groups,” she said. “I’m not going to be bullied, and I’m going to do the right thing no matter what. And that’s what pushed us to the brink last night. I was done with it.”

Mace further confirmed that she has met with Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, and has plans to meet with House Majority Leader Steve Scalise of Louisiana about who should take over the vacant seat now. Mace says that she wants someone who keeps their words to people as well as to the fellow Republicans.
