Nick Kyrgios, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic
Nick Kyrgios, this year’s Wimbledon runner-up played his first major finals against Novak Djokovic. The Serb defeated the 45th ranked Kyrgios by 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6. The Australian handled the pressure well in the first set and won it but as the game moved to the next sets, it was Novak who ruled the court in the next three sets to extend his streak to the 4th consecutive Wimbledon title.
Kyrgios is set to play his doubles match tomorrow in the Atlanta Open with his compatriot Thanasi Kokkinakis against the French pair of Nicolas Mahut and Edouard Roger-Vasselin. Kyrgios is known as a bad guy in tennis because of all the drama he creates on the court, from the chair umpire to the spectators. That’s one of the reasons for the Australian’s rising popularity.
“I think I gave Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal a bit more respect now” said Nick Kyrgios
