Oscar-winner Anne Hathaway and tennis legend Roger Federer sure know what it is like to stand in front of the camera to represent something. However, this time the tennis legend also showed off his acting chops as he advertised the Grand tour of Switzerland, an unforgettable road trip in an effort to encourage tourism.
The two global stars worked together for the promotional film that is an 8-night, 9-day trip. The film starts off by showing the picturesque view of Switzerland and its breathtaking beauty. It then cuts to a very irritated Roger Federer and a puzzled Anne Hathaway, sitting with the director and the production team. Turns out the video says that Hathaway and Federer were traveling the exotic country together, but they are barely there in the video and came for a few minutes in the end. This promotional video turns out, to be a lot of fun for Roger Federer and Anne Hathaway.
In another video that was posted by Roger Federer, the two of them are seen answering questions related to the road trip. We now know that Roger Federer used to go on a lot of hikes in his childhood and learned all the essential things that you need when you go hiking. It was a precious memory he shared with his father. As for Anne Hathway, she would love to go on a road trip with Adele, Sarah Silverman, and Dolly Parton, the latter of whom, Hathaway and Federer had a hilarious conversation about. Roger Federer loves to sing along in the car while going on a road trip listening to Queen, Backstreet boys, Roxette a Swedish band, and a little bit of Britney Spears. An imitation of Speras was again met with a hilarious reaction.
All in all, Anne Hathaway and roger Federer looked like they indeed had a lot of fun and it looks like the road trip will also be extremely fun. We also want to go and visit Switzerland right away after watching the promotional video and behind-the-scenes making.
Roger Federer and his future journey
Roger Federer has certainly been busy off-court and is certainly prominent on social media. The Swiss legend and 20-time grand slam winner has been toggling between promoting his shoes, The Roger Pro, and is now seen promoting the Switzerland tourism road trip campaign.
The former world no. 1 was last seen in the 2021 Wimbledon Open and is yet to make an appearance in the 2022 tournament. The Swiss was last seen in the quarter-finals of Wimbledon when he lost against Hubert Hurkacz. We have now got the news that the Swiss will be seen in the Basil Open happening in the month of October, after over a year of resting his right knee injury after the surgery. Fans are delighted to hear the news of his comeback, as many were afraid that he would retire. The Basil Open should be a booster for the Swiss considering the fact that he has won the title 10 times.
