“Every time I was about to cry,” Aryna Sabalenka opens up about her “important” experience of sharing her life with Netflix’s Break Point

Aryna Sabalenka is a fun character. While she is fiercely competitive on the court, the Belarusian ace lives life to the fullest off the court. She can be seen dancing and enjoying the company of her friends and colleagues. But there is also an emotional side of World No.2 which is shown in the Netflix docuseries, Break Point.
As the second season of Break Point was released recently, Aryna Sabalenka’s journey to her maiden Grand Slam title win is portrayed in one of the episodes. The Belarusian has talked about the hardships she faced in her quest to become a Grand Slam champion.
Now, the 25-year-old has talked about how difficult it was for her to divulge the details of her personal life. Sabalenka has revealed that there were instances when she had tears in her eyes while narrating her story. Nevertheless, the Belarusian is happy that the fans get to see the other side of being a professional tennis player.
It was a great time for Netflix to join my team & film it & show people that we are also struggling a lot, that there is not only amazing moments. We are not only having fun, there is something we are working on & we are struggling with. It's always up & downs.Aryna Sabalenka said.
Yeah, when I was talking about my family & just my story, every time I was about to cry because it's not an easy topic for me. But I'm happy that everyone who watched it, they know my story. I think that’s important for me & my family.The World No.2 stated.
Aryna Sabalenka hopes revealing her story brought her close to fans
The Belarusian tennis ace also talked about the importance of sharing her story with the fans. Aryna Sabalenka says that revealing her story to the fans will, hopefully, bring her close to them.
I'm an open person. For me, it's not that hard to speak about my life & just tell my story. For me, it was important to share my story with the people. I hope that people feel closer to me right now & they understand me better… I think that's something really important.Aryna Sabalenka said.
Coming to Aryna Sabalenka’s tennis, the women’s singles defending champion is opening her campaign against Ella Seidel of Germany on Sunday. Sabalenka is tasked with defending her crown with Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff threatening to take it away. It is to be seen how the Belarusian approached her matches at the 2024 Australian Open.
