Excellent news for Russian tennis, as the IOC has not denied their exclusion from the upcoming Paris Olympics. The 2024 Olympics is set to take place in Paris from July 26th–August 11th, 2024, as all the teams bring in their best players to represent their team on the biggest stage.
However, due to the invasion of Russia in Ukraine, it was unclear whether the Russian and Belarusian players could participate in the games. While the Olympics drew nearer, this remained a major question in almost all sports.
In tennis, at least, an X user brought some light on this matter. They revealed that the IOC has denied the non-admission of Russian players. In a board meeting, the CEO of the IOC revealed that 37 Russians and 22 Belarusians will take part in the Olympics, as they have not publicly taken sides during the war.

It is established that the two teams will be banned from the Olympics, but the players can participate under the banner of individual neutral athletes, with a jade green flag used in the trophy ceremony. Furthermore, there won’t be any lyrics in the ad hoc anthem, and the players just play for the sport.
