As Sabalenka talked about her chances in the WTA finals press conference, it was evident that the Belarusian knew what her opponents must be thinking before the match-up with her.
It's no different, to be honest. I think the ranking is just that, a ranking. Nothing is changing, I still have to work hard, I still have to bring my best tennis on the field.
Sabalenka continued on the need to focus on harder work to keep her reach the first ever year-ending World No.1 ranking.
And I think I have to work more, because right now I feel like I'm a target for everyone. I keep working hard to try to improve.
