Aryna Sabalenka advanced to the fourth round of the Miami Open 2023 tournament. During her third-round game, Belarusian singer Natti Natasha was spotted among the spectators, offering her support and encouragement to Sabalenka.
Right from the start of the match, the second-seeded player completely controlled the game, dispelling any doubts about her upper leg injury sustained in the previous match. She smashed four aces and triumphed in 83% of her first-serve attempts, effortlessly defeating her adversary, Marie Bouzkova, with a score of 6-1, 6-2.
On social media, the 24-year-old shared a few photos of herself with the singer of “Sin Pijama” and also responded to a photo posted by Natti Natasha of the match. Sabalenka wrote, “Look who was there to support me. Thank you for coming,”. Another photo shows the two of them striking a playful pose. “Probably our best picture,” Sabalenka wrote.
The two individuals have been good friends for a while now. They were previously spotted together at a Miami Heat basketball game last year, where they took a photo sitting courtside before the game began. Sabalenka’s next opponent in the tournament’s fourth round will be Barbora Krejcikova.
Aryna Sabalenka to face Barbora Krejcikova in Miami Open 2023 fourth round
On Tuesday, March 28th, Aryna Sabalenka will compete against Barbora Krejcikova in the fourth round of the 2023 Miami Open. The player who recently reached the finals at Indian Wells has made an impressive start to the competition, winning her second and third-round matches against Shelby Rogers and Marie Bouzkova in straight sets, after receiving a bye in the first round.
The sixteenth-seeded Krejcikova has had a strong beginning to the Miami Open. In the second and third rounds, she defeated Aliaksandra Sasnovich and Madison Keys, respectively, both in straight sets. She has notched up back-to-back straight-set wins over her opponents.
Following her third-round victory, the second-ranked tennis player in the world praised Krejcikova in an on-court interview, saying that their upcoming match will be a challenging one. Sabalenka remarked that Krejcikova has the ability to place the ball anywhere she wants if given enough time, making her a formidable opponent.
The key, according to Sabalenka, is to apply pressure and be extremely aggressive, denying Krejcikova the chance to settle into her rhythm. Despite her admiration for Krejcikova’s skills, Sabalenka has a 3-1 advantage in their head-to-head, with their most recent meeting occurring at Indian Wells, where Sabalenka emerged victorious.
