Aryna Sabalenka‘s best friend Paula Badosa recently declared her love for the Belrussian’s weird yet adorable speeches, following her back-to-back Australian Open title triumph.

Sabalenka defeated Zheng Qinwen in the final of the Australian Open without losing a set. Furthermore, the queen of Melbourne became the fifth woman in the tournament’s history to successfully defend her crown since Victoria Azarenka in 2012 and 2013.

During her on-court interview, the Belarusian was asked to say something concerning her victory. However, in true Sabalenka fashion, the speech turned out to be a bit weird. As expected, the Australian Open champion couldn’t help but laugh, adding that giving speeches isn’t among her superpowers.

It's an unbelievable feeling right now. As always my speech is going to be weird. It's not my superpower, but I'll try my best.
The 25-year-old said.

Paula Badosa, her best friend reacted to the same on X (formerly known as Twitter), eliciting a plethora of reactions online.

I love your Speeches Aryna Sabalenka, the best on and off the court.

To which, Sabalenka replied with love emojis and a thank you.

For the uninitiated, Paula Badosa and Aryna Sabalenka have been best friends since 2022, with fans calling the duo “Sabadosa”. Hours after Sabalenka’s victory, she first congratulated her on Instagram before going to X.

However, despite the good friendship, Badosa has yet to reach a Grand Slam final. After a comeback season at the Australian Open, she fell to a defeat to Amanda Anisimova 7-5, 6-4 in the third round, ending her hopes of a spectacular comeback.

In 2019, the Belarussian faced the most difficult period of her life after losing her father, Sergey Sabalenka. A fundamental person in Sabalenka’s growth on the court and a shared dream to win Grand Slams before she turns 25. She fulfilled it in 2023 and defended it in 2024.

Obviously he’s (her father – ed.) my biggest motivation. He’s been everything to me. But right now I have my mother and sister who are here with me and I feel like I have to think about them. But I feel that he is always with me. I’m very grateful for everything he’s done for me and I think if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t be here.

Sabalenka said.

Aryna Sabalenka was massively connected to her father and his demise had caused her great sorrow. It was her father who had once taken her to a tennis court when she was very young. That ultimately led to her interest in the sport. Thus, the credit for her becoming a world-class tennis player largely goes to him.

In case you missed!
