Aryna Sabalenka registered yet another straight-set victory in the fourth round of the 2024 Australian Open against American player Amanda Anisimova. With this, she has now qualified for the quarterfinals of the tournament.
The defending champion has been simply in sensational form so far in the tournament. If she continues playing like this, there will be no stopping her from winning her second Australian Open in a row.
Talking about the match between Aryna Sabalenka and Amanda Anisimova, the Belarusian defeated the 22-year-old in straight sets, just like the rest of her matches so far.
None of Aryna Sebalenka’s matches in the Australian Open 2024 so far have gone past two sets, which shows the dominance that the World No. 2 is showing in this tournament.
During the on-court interview, Aryna Sabelanka noticed some fans in the stands who were wearing t-shirts with different alphabets from her name that spelled ‘ARYNA’ together.
As expected, the tennis player was delighted with this wholesome gesture and further said that it was the support of fans like these that made her stronger. The Belarusian also added that she wants to stay at the tournament till the very last day to win the second Grand Slam title of her career.

Aryna Sabalenka was humble after defeating the 22-year-old and praised her in the on-court interview. Anisimova recently made her comeback to the court in the ASB Classic after taking a long break from the sport.
Anisimova was in a bad mental state due to the poor results that she was getting at the start of 2023, and had thus decided to take a break from the sport. The American has discovered a newfound love for the sport in her time away from the court and decided to make a comeback.
