Aryna Sabalenka recently suffered the tragic passing of her boyfriend Konstantin Koltsov. After a few hours, more information started to build up on this news, shocking the entire world. The Miami police, who were responsible for investigating the entire case, revealed that the Russian might have committed suicide.

With the Miami Open just about to commence, many did not expect Sabalenka to perform after this heartbreaking news. However, according to the latest news from the Tennis Channel US, Sabalenka is set to play the Miami Open but will not do any post-match conferences.

While many expected her to take some time off to heal herself and get back to action, that was not the case, as the Australian Open winner seems to be ready to get back on the court and face the crowd. Although she won’t do any press conferences, the Belarusian will make her presence felt on the court. Entering the tournament as World No. 2, the WTA beauty will face the winner of two returning stars, Simona Halep and Paula Badosa. 

With that being said, there is no denying that the news is hard to digest for Sabalenka, who has spent over four years with Koltsov. The couple was pretty active on their respective social media handles and often shared pictures together, giving fans some glimpses of their romantic relationship.

That’s not all; Sabalenka has even grown to love her boyfriend’s kids, as the 25-year-old has even spoken highly of him during a couple of press conferences.
