She later called out the crowd in a viral tweet. She posted a tweet playfully taunting the spectators present for not giving her their support as she was playing against home favorite Coco Gauff.

There is also a bias against players from Russia and Belarus because of their war against Ukraine. She wrote that tennis is a difficult sport. Sometimes you just have to practice to get better. She was grateful to have such wonderful people around her, and she thanked her team for being there for her. New York is undoubtedly one of her favorite cities, and they were wonderful even though they did not show much support for her today.

Following her defeat at the US Open, Aryna Sabalenka will play in Guadalajara, Mexico. Beginning September 17, she will compete in the city’s WTA 1000 event.

The Belarussian will try to improve on her performance at the Guadalajara Open last year. She was knocked out of the event in the second round by Russia’s Liudmila Samsonova in 2022. During a news conference in New York, she promised to learn from the disappointment and come back stronger.

“There’s some positive things I’m leaving this; some not really positive. But it’s okay. It’s a process. We’re all learning. And I guess it’s lesson for me I will learn and then come back stronger,” Sabalenka said.
