Aryna Sabalenka and Paula Badosa have continued to strengthen their bond by spending quality time at the World Tennis League (WTL) exhibition event in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Subsequently, their friendship has attracted massive attention from tennis fans online who continue to spitball ideas about the duo’s ever-friendly relationship.

Sabalenka and Badosa, representing Team Kites, along with teammates Stefanos Tsitsipas and Grigor Dimitrov, have booked their spots in the event’s final. Their rivals for the crown will be the Team Eagles, consisting of Sofia Kenin, Mirra Andreeva, Daniil Medvedev, and Andrey Rublev.

During the tournament, the Spaniard teased Sabalenka as the duo spectated one of their team’s matches from the players’ benches. As a result, their clip went viral and has been doing the rounds on social media. 

Later, the Belarusian reposted the video via her official Twitter/X handle, which triggered fans to suggest an intimate angle between the duo, with some “shipping” them to be a romantic couple.

Paula Badosa expresses her delight in sharing the court with Aryna Sabalenka

Paula Badosa recently opened up about her friendship with Aryna Sabalenka and expressed her delight in having the Belarusian by her side.

During an on-court interview at the World Tennis League, the 26-year-old addressed her connection with the World No. 2 and stated how she inspires her to redefine her boundaries on-court.

I think doubles is all about connection and with Aryna you can see we have it. And also being by her side I always say I learn a lot from her, she inspires me. And I can get to say she’s my closest friend so it’s very nice to share the court with her.

The pair is scheduled to square off against the pair of Sofia Kenin and Mirra Andreeva for the doubles trophy at the exhibition event on Sunday, December 24.
