Sporting sensation Ashleigh Barty gears up to make a “nerve-wracking” comeback to the world of sports. Unfortunately, it is not on the tennis court but on the golf course. The three-time Grand Slam champion makes a return to the competitive world at the New Zealand Open.

Barty, a complete natural talent in the sporting world, has pro-level experience in three sports. She has a good name in the golf world, the cricketing world, and, of course, tennis.

Having the opportunity to play in the pro-am event in 2024 is something I’m excited about, though I definitely need to start practicing. Golf has always been a passion of mine.
Said Ashleigh Barty via 1 News.

The former tennis player attended last year’s golf tournament as a spectator and is delighted to be part of it this time around.

Having said that golf is her passion, the 3-time Grand Slam champion looks to practice before the event. Returning to the world of sports after having her first child, Hayden, the 2022 US Open Champion, looks to get a sense of winning after a long time.

Barty had created a foundation under her name alongside other tennis stars like Evonne Goolagong and Pat Rafter to help the people.

By providing racquets and other equipment to those in need, Barty finds a way to give back to the sport. Furthermore, she also revealed how to help educate many in different sports.

Turning down all speculations about her return, the 27-year-old is all set to raise her child, Hayden, who is her priority. Wanting to enjoy life as a mother, she revealed that she is not returning to tennis.

However, the former champion returns to competitive sports, but on the golf course, as she gears up to feature in a tournament. Starring along with other legends of the sports world, Barty looks to improve her hand at golf.
