In the first semifinal, Carlos Alcaraz will be up against Hubert Hurkacz. Alcaraz has been the best player this season and will fancy his chances to continue his unbeaten run. Hurkacz, on the other hand, has an amazing baseline play and could beat anyone on the given day with his aggressive gameplay.

In a repeat of the 2021 US Open final, Novak Djokovic will face Daniil Medvedev in the second semifinal. Despite Medvedev’s higher ranking, Djokovic will start the favorite given his form and could carry momentum from his good run in Tel Aviv.

Two of the best players on the tour currently, Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic will meet in the final of the Astana Open. Alcaraz is in hot form while Djokovic himself has regained his lost consistency. Alcaraz shocked Djokovic the last time they met but despite everything, Djokovic’s hunger and experience makes him the favorite. Expect a good match with Djokovic winning his maiden ATP 500 title of the year in Nur-Sultan.
