Emma Raducanu the British professional tennis player won her debut match at the Stuttgart Open. Her opponent was the Australian Storm Sanders. She was playing her first clay-court WTA tournament this week in Stuttgart. She won 6-1,6-2 on Wednesday against sanders to reach the second round and then backed it up by beating Tamara Korpatsch in three sets 6-0,2-6,6-1.

Emma Raducanu recently reveal that at the US open she was having zero expectations and was there just to have fun. She has developed it over time and will do more. These expectations kept her free and she won the US Open. She basically wants to play carefree and doesn’t want to play under pressure. She also believes that she can perform better when she is not under any kind of performance pressure.

At the US open I think the biggest thing was just having zero expectations and having fun. That is something that over time I have definitely developed starting to do more,” she said.

Emma Raducanu felt like there were long duces in the game and she is very happy after her match against Sanders in the Stuttgart Open. Emma Raducanu and Storm Sanders faced each other last year in which Emma won 7-6,6-2. Raducanu said Sanders was very tricky to play against and she is happy to have a good performance. she added that she had to work on the duration of points and spend some time on clay. In the interview, she promised to improve her variety of shots and she is looking forward to spending more time on clay.

I feel like there were many long deuce games and I’m very happy to have battled through against Storm,” Raducanu said on-court in victory.”She played two matches in the qualifying and we played last year. She’s extremely tricky and I’m just really happy to have found a way through those long games and put on a good performance. The duration of the points, that’s something I need to work on as I spend more time on clay,” she added. “It will improve my craftiness and variety of shots, so I’m just looking forward to spending more time on this surface moving forward.

Emma Raducanu played her first-ever tennis professional match on clay in the Billie Jean King Cup and was representing Great Britain. She won against Tereza Martincova and lost to Marketa Vondrousova.Her team lost to the Czechs as they are always a threat on clay. She lost to Vondrousova due to heavy foot blisters but looked good against Sanders. Emma Raducanu improved her clay-court record to 3-1 after her win over Korpatsch.
