Spanish 19-year-old is on a comeback trail after his unfortunate injury before the Australian Open that forced him to sit out of the first Grand Slam of the season. The Buenos Aires final is his first summit clash after his record title win in the 2022 US Open. Alcaraz looked strong and steady throughout the week and is ready for the final.
In the semifinals, he cruised past countryman Bernabe Zapata Miralles 6-2, 6-2 in 77 minutes. The top seed in Argentina will try to clinch his first title of the season when he meets Norrie on Sunday. In the ATP Head-to-Head chart, Spaniard leads by 3-1, but Norrie claimed their most recent meeting last year in Cincinnati.
Norrie, on the other hand, is also well-equipped to answer any challenge posed by the current World No 2. Alcaraz is aware of that when after his semifinal win he acknowledged how ‘tough player’ Norrie is. But he is ready to give everything he has in the final.

Both Alcaraz and Norrie are absolutely bringing their top game in the tournament. But Alcaraz will be pipped over the British given his greater exposure to high-intensity matches even in the short career. A winner in Rio de Janeiro last year, Alcaraz will be the favorite to add another South American crown to his bag.
When the surface is brought into the picture, red clay is definitely an advantage for Alcaraz. Throughout the week he only dropped one set in the ATP 250 event while Norrie needed three sets to battle through his first two matches.
