It’s a battle between two Russians in the finals of the ATP Dubai Tennis Championships. The in-form Daniil Medvedev takes on the defending champion, Andrey Rublev later tonight. Medvedev, who is currently ranked seventh in the world, has been on a hot streak lately, winning 18 out of 20 matches this year. On March 3, he continued his impressive run by defeating top-ranked Novak Djokovic in straight sets, thereby handing the latter his first loss of the 2023 season.

On the other hand, Rublev had a mediocre season so far reaching his first finals this year. It will be a difficult task for him against Medvedev who already won in Doha and Rotterdam. The former world No.1 is looking to make it three in three tonight. Medvedev has won four out of his six head-to-head matches against his fellow Russian Rublev, who won their most recent two encounters.
