Alexander Zverev vs Lukas Klein

Alexander Zverev opened his campaign with a win against Dominik Koepfer. Although it was not as clinical as the German ace would have wanted, Zverev managed to pin down his compatriot in four sets (4-6, 6-3, 7-6, 6-3).

\The Russian lost the first set against Atmane but made a comeback to win the next two sets. Medvedev looked set to take the fourth set as well before Atmane decided to walk off. Nevertheless, the former World No.1 will now meet Emil Ruusuvuori and will hope to ease past the Finnish.

Jessica Pegula vs Clara Burel

2023 WTA Finalist Jessica Pegula will also be in action on Thursday. She will be taking on Carla Burel in the second round after easing past qualifier Rebecca Marino in the opening round. The American ace is the favorite coming into the game.

Holger Rune vs Arthur Cazaux

Danish tennis ace Holger Rune had trouble beating Yoshihito Nishioka in his first-round match at the 2024 Australian Open.
