“Bad news for Novak Djokovic” Twitter goes into a frenzy over Rafael Nadal’s confirmation to play at Wimbledon
Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic
Rafael Nadal confirmed that he is all set to play at Wimbledon. The Spaniard will be making. a comeback to Wimbledon after three years and he will be focused on winning the tournament for the third time in his career. Considering his great form he will be continuing from Roland Garros, he has a great chance of winning at Wimbledon.
The only barrier in his way could be one of arch-rival Novak Djokovic who has an upper hand on him when it comes to Wimbledon. The tournament on grass hasn’t been Nadal’s most successful surface. He prefers playing on clay or even hard courts, but the grass is a very different and difficult surface to play on.
On the other hand, the defending champion Novak Djokovic who has been winning the tournament for the last three years has the best chance of winning the tournament once again. But Nadal’s recent win against him at Roland Garros would mean that the Spaniard has a chance of beating him once again.
Rafael Nadal to play Wimbledon after three years
Rafael Nadal hasn’t played at Wimbledon for three years and would definitely be a bit rusty on his comeback. But the Spaniard made it into the Semi-Finals of the last two times he played at Wimbledon. This means that he has been performing well at the tournament but needs to concentrate and move two more steps ahead to lift the title after 12 years.
He has been in phenomenal form this year and this could be the year he finally wins his third Wimbledon title. He has a challenging path ahead of him but if any player could fight through all the challenges it has to be Nadal.
