Ben Shelton called a ‘role model’ by compatriot Sebastian Korda for his brilliant run at the US Open 2023

Sebastian Korda, a Professional American tennis player was all praises for fellow tennis player and countryman, Ben Shelton. He hailed the American as a role model for having a dream run at the US Open in 2023. He called Ben an inspiration to all the budding tennis players in the country as well.
Appreciating Ben Shelton and his epic run at the US Open, Sebastian Korda said, “I think Ben did a great job at the US Open. He just really showed the world what he’s capable of and what he can do in the near future.”
Korda was impressed by the American’s game and his on-court attitude and added, “He’s got a great game. [He is] powerful, entertaining [and he] loves to kind of interact with fans as well. I think he’s a great role model for younger kids with the way that he plays.”
He also added what a role model Ben Shelton is and how he inspires other American tennis players to be like him. He stated, ” I think it’s awesome. It definitely pushes all of us to do better. And obviously, it shows the way, that it is possible for someone like him, or of any age, to be out there performing like him.”
Ben Shelton recently reached the last 4 in the US Open 2023 defeating fellow countrymen Frances Tiafoe in the quarter finals. He faced the mighty Novak Djokovic in the semi-final round where he lost in straight sets to the Serb. His run at the US Open was much talked about and appreciated by tennis fans all over.

Ben Shelton will play his first Laver Cup
The American is all set to star in his debut Laver Cup starting on the 22nd of September in Vancouver, Canada. He will be representing Team World, which consists of 7 Laver Cup debutants. They will try and defend the title this year after winning it for the first time last year.
Ben Shelton is looking forward to playing under John McEnroe and is excited about playing in his first Laver Cup. He said he is extremely pumped about playing after he proved a lot of people wrong. He proved his inclusivity in Team World after his outstanding performance at this year’s US Open.
