“Between Rafa and Djokovic” David Ferrer takes out Roger Federer from the GOAT debate

David Ferrer, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer
David Ferrer the former Spanish professional tennis player is recently in news because of his debate on the GOAT tennis player. David Ferrer in his era won tournaments at all levels except the Grand Slam. He has the seventh-highest career prize money earnings of all-time among male tennis players.
David Ferrer is of the opinion that Roger Federer is done with his career and won’t be able to achieve any more titles because of his age and injury. He feels that the debate of who the best player in the game is will end between Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal. Given Roger has been absent for 9 months and has dropped outside the Top-40 as a result of it, he won’t be seeded in the next tournament and has to play against tough opponents and make his place in the tournament, which is not easy after such a long injury.
“First I don’t want to think about when it’s (the debate) going to end, I want to enjoy them. I love that there is that incentive to see who is the best on the planet in this sport. And I love that Rafa is the best at the moment. I think that between Rafa and Djokovic there will be a fight to be the best,” said Ferrer as per reports of Express UK.
Career titles of Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal

Nadal, Djokovic and Federer are always in the debate for who is the Greatest of All Time (GOAT) among them. Nadal has won 91 ATP singles titles including 21 grand slam titles. Federer has won 103 ATP titles including 20 Grand slams. Novak Djokovic has won 86 ATP titles which 20 grand slam titles. Novak has won all the nine masters twice and is the only male player to do so. Nadal, Djokovic, and Federer were sharing the 20 grand slams record until January when the King of Clay won the 2022 Australian Open.
However, we have seen Roger come back in 2016 from a knee injury and win the Australian Open 2 times. He also became the world’s number 1 after his knee injury. It won’t be easy for Federer but he is one of the big three and shouldn’t be underestimated.
