Boris Becker is set for his first interview since being jailed in the UK as a private jet will carry him home upon release from prison
Boris Becker
German tennis legend Boris Becker will be out of prison in the UK soon. He was sentenced for hiding his assets and transactions on April 29, 2022. It is reported that the former World No.1 will be coming back to Germany in a private jet and soon he will be interviewed by a Munich-based station.
He is expected to be back home in a week after his 30 months imprisonment was reduced as part of a scheme called fast-track release. As reported, it is said that taking the champion back home in a jet is also part of the interview agreement. As quoted by sources, “Boris is still one of Germany’s most famous sportsmen and his first interview is muchly prized, There will be a great amount of interest in his release and the private jet ensures that he is not seen by other media.”
“The TV company will be paying for the jet and is part of their agreement for the interview“. This was also reported by Express UK. The 6 time Grand Slam champion is expected to be back in tennis-related fields once he is back home.

Boris Becker – The 17-year-old Wimbledon champion who stunned the tennis world
Boris Becker is one of the most formidable names in the history of tennis. He won his first Grand Slam at the tender age of 17 years on the grass courts of Wimbledon. Becker held the record at that time for the youngest-ever male tennis player. This was later broken in the 1989 French Open by Michael Chang.
Becker winning the 1985 Wimbledon was almost like a fairy tale. He started the tournament as an unseeded player and nobody expected the ‘German kid’ to win it all. He defeated US open 8th seeded Kevin Curran in finals in 4 sets (6–3, 6–7(4-7), 7–6(7-3), 6–4). Curran was in exceptional form coming to the finals after defeating all-time greats Stefan Edberg, John McEnroe, and Jimmy Connors in the previous rounds in straight sets so the final was also expected to be a one-sided affair for the American but the 17-year-old kid had some other plans.
Becker has won 6 Grand Slam titles and 49 ATP singles titles throughout his career. He was quite successful on the grass surface as he won three Wimbledon titles in 1985, 1986, and 1989. He also won the 1995 Hopman Cup with Anke Huber. Other important titles are the 1992 Barcelona Olympics gold medal in the doubles event and Davis Cup twice in 1988 and 1989 for his country, Germany.
