Boris Becker will reportedly be deported from the UK after he completes his sentence

Boris Becker

Boris Becker was sentenced to prison for two and a half years in April after he was found hiding £2.5million in assets and finances after declaring bankruptcy, once reported to be worth around £127million, Becker is now reportedly completely broke and to make matters even worse it is also likely that the German will be deported from the country right after his sentence is complete.

The Home Office also confirmed that if done so, then Becker will be deported from the country as a foreign national who has spent more than 12 months in prison, the track record of Huntercombe is also not in Becker’s favor as it has been reported that out of 197 inmates, 185 of them were immediately deported following their release.

American legend, John McEnroe also talked about Boris Becker while covering the 2022 Wimbledon, he said, “Boris is a friend of mine. This is just horrible, I want to see him if I possibly can and if he’s willing to see people. I just feel terrible. He’s one of the greatest players that ever played the game. He’s been going through a lot for a long time. He kept telling me it’s going to be OK, it’s under control. That’s Boris.”

McEnroe also came under heavy fire online from the fans after he supported Becker live, and the deportation will mean that Becker will never be able to cover Wimbledon again which he has been doing for so many years now.
