The organization’s UK wing recently turned to Twitter to confront Alcaraz amid the current controversy surrounding his attendance at the bullfighting event in Murcia.
PETA UK requested the tennis star to reconsider his participation in such events in a statement. The bullfighting event that Alcaraz attended occurred shortly after his exit from the US Open. Carlos Alcaraz withdraws from Davis Cup finals following US Open defeat
Alcaraz has officially withdrawn from the forthcoming Davis Cup Finals, citing the need for rest following his loss at the US Open. The Spanish was expected to lead Spain’s team in the absence of Rafael Nadal but he stated a wish to rest.
Alcaraz faced a hard battle in the US Open semifinals. Despite his outstanding skills and achievements, he was vanquished in a hard-fought duel by the Russian force. Following his loss, the young Spaniard opted to withdraw from the Davis Cup Finals, underlining the importance of healing and learning from his mistakes.
