In a recent interview on Tennis TV, 2023 Wimbledon winner Carlos Alcaraz reveals the effect Novak has on him and how he has become an integral part of his practice sessions. “ Almost in every practice, I’m trying to end the year as world number 1 so Novak Djokovic is around my mind almost in every practice. I have to go 100% in every ball to be able to catch him,” reveals Carlos in an interview when he was asked how much Novak Djokovic runs in his mind.

Alcaraz has been a very formidable rival for the Serb as the youngster has managed to reach many finals and semifinals and even beat the 24-time Grand Slam champion in the finals of Wimbledon. As the youngster looks to reclaim his spot as number 1 before the year finishes, he believes that training with the best in mind can improve his game.

20-year-old Spaniard, Carlos Alcaraz has meteorically risen in the recent world of tennis. He is usually compared with the Italian Jannik Sinner who has also shown the world of tennis his capabilities.
