In a recent interview on Tennis TV, 2023 Wimbledon winner Carlos Alcaraz reveals the effect Novak has on him and how he has become an integral part of his practice sessions. “ Almost in every practice, I’m trying to end the year as world number 1 so Novak Djokovic is around my mind almost in every practice. I have to go 100% in every ball to be able to catch him,” reveals Carlos in an interview when he was asked how much Novak Djokovic runs in his mind.
Alcaraz has been a very formidable rival for the Serb as the youngster has managed to reach many finals and semifinals and even beat the 24-time Grand Slam champion in the finals of Wimbledon. As the youngster looks to reclaim his spot as number 1 before the year finishes, he believes that training with the best in mind can improve his game.

They recently faced each other in the Semi-Finals of the 2023 China Open where Carlos just did not have enough in him to answer the dominating questions thrown at him by the Italian.
