World number one Carlos Alcaraz‘ successful image in the tennis world, as considered by many, is due to his manager Albert Molina. Molina, who had reportedly discovered Alcaraz when the Spaniard was 13, believes that he needs three more brands to complete the list of nine sponsors to build his global image off the court.

Alcaraz has signed deals with prestigious brands like Rolex, Calvin Klein, BMW Cars, and recently, with the fashion brand Louis Vuitton. The Spaniard had denied a contract with other fashion brands before his deal with the French company.

One can see how Alcaraz is following Britain’s Emma Raducanu‘s footsteps with his goal of adding a few more sponsorship deals. Raducanu works with telecommunication, bank, and drink brands- Vodafone, HSBC, and Evian. As mentioned before, these firms are also on Alcaraz’s wish list.

Raducanu became a sensation during the 2021 US Open and shocked all by becoming the champion as a teenager who played as a qualifier and won the title without dropping a set. She defeated Leylah Annie Fernandez in straight sets 6-4, 6-3.

Alcaraz also won his first Grand Slam title as a teenager when he won the 2022 US Open. He faced Norway’s Casper Ruud in the final and came out victorious with a score of 6-4, 6-2, 7-6, 6-3.

The 20-year-old Spaniard is currently participating in the ongoing Wimbledon Championships in London. But Raducanu is not playing at the grass-court Grand Slam event as she is recuperating from injuries on her hands and ankle.

Meanwhile, Alcaraz will face six-seed Holger Rune on Centre Court on Wednesday (July 12) in the quarter-final of the Wimbledon. They have met twice with both winning a match each. They last met at the 2022 ATP Masters 1000 Paris. Alcaraz was forced to retire after scores of 6-3, 6-6.
