Carlos Alcaraz, the 19-year-old Spanish tennis player, has expressed his confidence in Rafael Nadal‘s performance at the upcoming French Open, despite injury concerns. Nadal, a 14-time champion at the tournament, has been dealing with a hip injury since the Australian Open in January and recently skipped the Madrid Open.
Having won on clay surfaces at Barcelona and Buenos Aires already, young Carlos is a heavy favorite to win the Roland Garros. Despite this, Alcaraz has expressed his belief that Rafael Nadal, who is currently nursing a hip injury, should not be underestimated. Alcaraz told reporters that Nadal will always be tough to beat at the French Open, even if he comes without match rhythm.
Alcaraz said, “Hopefully he shall be in Rome after which at Roland Garros, the place he shall be a rival to beat, It’s going to even be tough for him, tennis requires that aggressive rhythm, however, Rafa is Rafa, even when he arrives without many matches, he’ll certainly present a spectacular degree.”
He acknowledged that it will be challenging for Nadal, but he is confident that the Spanish tennis legend will show a spectacular level at the tournament. The French Open is set to begin on May 30th, and fans will eagerly await Nadal’s performance on the court.

Carlos Alcaraz, the up-and-coming star of Spanish tennis, put on a commanding performance on Tuesday to secure his place in the quarterfinals of the Madrid Open. The 19-year-old defeated Alexander Zverev 6-1, 6-2 to avoid becoming another top seed upset at the clay-court tournament.
Alcaraz’s path to defending his home title at the Madrid Open has been made easier with the elimination of Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev. His performance against Zverev showcased his potential, as he finished the match with 21 winners and just 12 unforced errors, compared to Zverev’s nine winners and 22 unforced errors.
Alcaraz is considered one of the most promising young talents in the sport, and his win against Zverev confirms his potential. In the quarterfinals, he will face either Rafael Nadal or Alexei Popyrin, which is expected to be a thrilling match for tennis fans worldwide.
