It has always been a common sight for fans to propose to the players during a match and that’s exactly what happened today. Young Spanish sensation Carlos Alcaraz was recently left blushing after a fan proposed to him during an exhibition match against Roberto Bautista.

The 20-year-old was playing a charity match against Bautista in Murcia when a fan proposed to him during the first set. In Spanish, she is so, which left the 20-year-old looking at her and smiling widely.

It was a good, hilarious touch to the already fun match between the two players. This has not been the first instance that a player was interrupted during their service. Previously, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, and Nick Kyrgios have also received such proposals during their matches.

This incident took place in the first set of the match. The first set went on to the decider before Alcaraz won the set point and took a set win under his belt.

However, his opponent came back by winning the second set pretty quickly, taking the game into a final decider, which was ultimately won by the Spaniard. The final score was 7-6(1), 1-6, and 10-7, which the 20-year-old won in under two hours.

Carlos Alcaraz gets back-to-back exhibition wins before his 2024 season

20-year-old Carlos Alcaraz, who has been the star to watch out for for the past two years, has been trying to come out of his small dip in form. After a good 2023 season, he wasn’t able to finish off strong, but his current form at the exhibition matches seems promising. 

He recently beat Novak Djokovic in an exhibition match that left the fans shocked. During the highly electrifying match, the youngster displayed a wide range of powerful shots that even left his opponent applauding for him.

After the match, Djokovic expressed his confidence in the Spaniard and how the future is safe in the hands of Alcaraz. After the rivalry between Rafael Nadal and Federer, Novak is happy with his new rivalry with the 20-year-old and finds the emergence of Alcaraz just great.

After this, Carlos just won another exhibition match in his hometown to add to his confidence. With 2024 on the break of dawn, these exhibition match wins are sure to give Alcaraz some confidence before heading into the Australian Open.
