Fans on social media have blasted Indian Wells Masters organizers for plotting another Novak Djokovic title win after released draw. The draw will see Carlos Alcaraz play tougher opponents from the second set, while Djokovic has been handed an easy ride until the last eight.

Carlos Alcaraz, who won the tournament title last year after defeating Daniil Medvedev will have to sweat it out to defend his title in this year’s edition. He will kick off his campaign in the second round against either Matteo Arnaldo or Luca Von Assche.

He will further then face the big Frenchman Felix Augar-Alliassime before Karen Khachanov or Jarry Nicolas in the fourth round. In the quarterfinals, he will face either Alexander Zverev or Alexander Bublik, or Alex De Minaur. A very strong test of the Spanish star.

For Djokovic, he will play Aleksandar Vukic in round two. Then go on to face a struggling Tomas Etcheverry in the third round. He will play the in-form Ugo Humbert, whom he has never lost to, and face Hubert Hurkacz in a quarterfinal showdown. However, Daniil Medvedev or Holger Rune awaits the Serbian in the semifinals.

On X (formerly known as Twitter), fans have blasted the Indian Wells organizers for giving an easy route to Djokovic, while Alcaraz faces tough opponents.

However, despite the tough or easy draw for top players, tennis has always been a game played on the court, not a draw. The court has always determined who wins a match.

It has been five years, way too long to not be part of the Tennis Paradise tournament, one of the best tournaments in the world without a doubt. It’s probably the favorite Masters' tournament of so many players including myself. I can’t wait to come and perform once again in front of some of the best tennis fans that we have on the tour
