Spanish tennis ace Carlos Alcaraz kicked off the Christmas celebrations in his hometown in Murcia making use of his tennis racket. The 20-year-old smashed the ball in the sky to kick off the celebrations. Alcaraz seemed excited to do the honors for his city people.
The 20-year-old has shot to fame following his heroics on the tennis court. Alcaraz is slowly but gradually heading toward becoming more than just a good tennis player. Many youngsters are already looking up to him and now Alcaraz getting a chance to kick off Christman celebrations tells a lot about his stature in the society.
The 2023 Wimbledon champion waited for the countdown to finish and then he smashed the ball into the sky with his tennis racket to mark the start of celebrations.
Carlos Alcaraz ready to roll after a much-deserved break
Carlos Alacarz is currently among the busiest players on the tour and with the schedule getting even more demanding, the Spaniard will continue to work hard on his fitness and manage wisely between which tournaments to skip and which to play.
While this will be a challenge for the 20-year-old considering a foot injury troubled him in the last leg of the 2023 season. Alcaraz seems to be ready for the challenge that lies ahead. The Spaniard, after taking a much-deserved break where he enjoyed on the shores of Mexico with friends and family, Alcaraz is ready to roll.
Before the two-time Grand Slam champion kicks off the ATP tour, Alcaraz will play an exhibition match against Novak Djokovic in Riyadh. The World No.1 and World No.1 will lock horns on December 27. The Spaniard will then head to Australia to take part in Brisbane International. However, Alcaraz will not play in the United Cup.
Nevertheless, the 20-year-old is seeded second at the 2024 Australian Open and it will be an interesting battle once again, between Djokovic and Alcaraz. Also, with Rafael Nadal returning, a contest between the Spanish legend and rising superstar will be on the cards.
