Two-time Grand Slam title champion Carlos Alcaraz has set his goal for his rising career. Often compared to Novak Djokovic, Alcaraz is arguably the only opponent currently who can take down the Serb.
But his career is young, and he lacks experience. Djokovic, who has been playing for many years now, has almost achieved everything that is there to achieve in a tennis career.

To reach the point where the Serb is standing right now with a glorious 24 Grand Slam titles to his name, Alcaraz needs to keep playing for many, many years.
He certainly has the potential, and in a recent conference, he set down his goals. When asked about the records he set to achieve, the former World No. 1 highlighted how he now wants to break the records that Novak Djokovic is breaking with his performances.
I try not to give it importance because the records I want to break are the ones that Novak (Djokovic) is breaking. These are the goals I have set for my career. Taking them away from legends like Borg is always a good thing, but if you put too much value on them, it can work against you,”The Spaniard replied via tennis majors
Although he did reflect on the desire to break Djokovic’s goals, he also admitted to the fact that putting too much pressure on oneself can prove to be a hurdle and can work against the player.
He wants to keep going ahead at his pace and keep achieving all the titles that come his way, but he does not want to attach too much value to them.
Spanish cuisine is the secret behind Carlos Alcaraz’s success
The World No. 2 showed off his funny side in a post-match interview after qualifying for the fourth round of the Australian Open.

When presented with the choice of returning to training or indulging in the delicacies of a recently opened Spanish restaurant, Alcaraz joked that it was a ‘tough decision‘, exposing his secret power source, which is daily dining at the stated institution.
The Spaniard’s unconventional practice appears to be paying off, as he continues to amaze on the Melbourne courts. His next challenger is Miomir Kecmanovic, who also had a successful tournament run.
Reflecting on his return to the Australian Open after missing the 2023 edition, he expressed gratitude for being back, recalling how he watched the matches from home the year before, wishing to play in the tournament’s second week.
I missed this one last year. I was watching matches from home, from the couch, wishing to play in the second week here.Said the determined Spaniard.
Setting lofty objectives for himself, he admitted that he hoped to improve his performance, and he has fulfilled that promise by reaching the fourth round this year. Despite his accomplishments, he stays focused on getting the greatest possible result in the forthcoming matches.
