Spanish tennis ace Carlos Alcaraz has transformed himself into a superstar of the game in a very short career. The 20-year-old already has two Grand Slam titles to his credit. The memorable Wimbledon title he won by defeating Novak Djokovic remains one of his best performances. With such high-quality performances comes the burden of expectations but Alcaraz has managed to deal with them.
The Spaniard who has reached the semifinal in Argentina, has talked about dealing with expectations. Alcaraz said that he has learned to deal with being the favorite. However, he tries to not think about it too much and enjoys his time on the court.

Alcaraz said that he always plays for the win. The 20-year-old said that he thinks of himself as a good example of someone who is focused and obtains good results.
You have to know how to deal with the moments, the pressure that the fans generate on you, that they always think that you have to win. You have to deal with being the favorite in the tournaments you go to, although I try not to think too much about those people who think I always have to win, I try to escape from all that and have fun with my game, putting into practice what I train every day.Carlos Alcaraz said. This is how I win games, and improve and increase my level. Today many things can be said through social networks, but I try not to pay attention to that. “I think I'm a good example of how to stay focused and keep doing good results. The 20-year-old further said.
Carlos Alcaraz confident about his chances against Nicolas Jarry
After a dominant showing against Andrea Vavassori in the quarterfinal, Carlos Alcaraz is now confident about his chances in the semifinal, against Nicolas Jarry. Alcaraz said that he felt good about his game in the quarters as he was able to maintain consistency throughout the match.

Talking about his opponent in the semifinal, Alcaraz talked about the big serves Jarry produces. The 20-year-old also gave a sneak peek into what is going to be his strategy against Jarry.
It is difficult to play against a player who has a great serve, we will see how the match goes...I will try to put the maximum returns inside, attack the second serves as much as possible and bring out our best version in general.Carlos Alcaraz said.
Notably, Carlos Alcaraz leads the head-to-head record 2-0 against Jarry. The two players met each other twice in the 2023 season and it has always been a tight match. Although Alcaraz has walked away with a win on both occasions, Jarry has made it difficult for the Spanish ace.
The last time Alcaraz played against the Chilean, he won in four sets. They also played a tiebreaker which was eventually won by Jarry. It is to be seen if it will be another closely-fought match this time around or if Alcaraz will ride on the momentum and blow away his Chilean opponent.
