Spanish tennis ace Carlos Alcaraz‘s finesse is not limited to just tennis, but his skills go beyond the sport too. The 20-year-old showed it when he sang a verse from Colombian singer Sebastian Yatra’s latest song ‘Vagabondu’ after his first-round win at the 2023 US Open. As the singer was present in the stands of the Arthur Ashe Stadium, Alcaraz was asked if he could show the fans his singing talent and the Spaniard obliged.
Alcaraz sang a part of the lyrics and also backed it with some moves. This sent Yatra into a frenzy as the Colombian singer hailed the tennis ace. It is worth mentioning that Alcaraz and Yatra share a really good bond. The two had paired up to beat Frances Tiafoe and Jimmy Butler during the Stars of the Open event prior to the start of the 2023 US Open.
Now, the Colombian was present at the Arthur Ashe Stadium to support his friend during his first-round match at the US Open. As Alcaraz won the game and came for the on-court interview, he was told about Yatra’s presence in the stadium. The Spaniard was then asked by the presenter to sing the lyrics of Yatra’s latest song and Alcaraz did not deny the request.
Sebastian Yatra ready to partner Carlos Alcaraz in doubles at US Open

As Carlos Alcaraz and Sebastian Yatra partnered during the Stars of the Open match, the Colombian said he is ready to make it a long-term partnership and take part in the tournament next year as Alcaraz’s doubles partner. The Colombian singer also said that he is in New York as a replacement for Rafael Nadal, who could not take part due to an injury.
“Rafa told me that he could not be at the US Open this year so he needed a strong representative. He could not send a Spaniard so he sent a Colombia and Carlos is always telling me about playing doubles at the US Open, so I will think about it for next year,” said Yatra after winning the match against Tiafoe and Butler.
Now, coming to Carlos Alcaraz’s 2023 US Open campaign, it kicked off nicely as the Spaniard won his first match comfortably against Germany’s Dominik Koepfer. While Alcaraz won the opening set 6-2, Koepfer retired in the second set, wherein the defending champion was leading 3-2. Alcaraz will now take on Lloyd Harris from South Africa.
