Carlos Alcaraz, the young Spanish sensation, has gotten many fans after he dominated over the last couple of years, skyrocketing to the top. However, the youngster fell a bit on his form and is taking a little longer than expected to get it back. 

After losing earlier than many expected at the Australian Open, he faced another semi-final exit at the Argentina Open. That was a major upset for the youngster, and another loss soon followed at the Rio Open. He lost in the first round via walkover.

Fans had their heart in their mouth, as Alcaraz withdrew due to an ankle injury scare. Fortunately, it wasn’t serious, as the Spaniard was back in California to defend his Indian Wells title. Despite the star-studded entry list in the tournament, Alcaraz is feeling better and confident about winning the tournament injury or not.

Carlos Alcaraz laser-focused on defending his title in California, after a close win against Rafael Nadal

Fans are nervous for the Spaniard after the ankle injury, but Alcaraz remains confident and is laser-focused on defending his title. He is in a bit of a rough patch and would hope to get back to winning ways as the season is fresh.

So let’s see how the tournament is going to go. But I’m here to defend and I’m not I’m not thinking about anything else but that. 

After a close match against Rafael Nadal at the Netflix slam, the Spaniard was victorious with no signs of an ankle injury. However, he has a strong draw with many strong players in the mix and would need to be in full health to successfully defend his title.

Fans are also excited for Alcaraz to be back in action, after coming close in two tournaments so far. Always smiling, the youngster always manages to entertain his fans and is ready to show some more miraculous plays in the upcoming tournaments.

The Spaniard starts his 2024 Indian Wells campaign on Friday against Italy’s Matteo Arnaldi. Can he manage to defend his title at the Indian Wells? Only time will tell.
