Spanish youngster Carlos Alcaraz is definitely taking some giant strides in his career. The Current No. 2 announced his arrival on the scene with the 2022 US Open title. Among the next-gen stars on the tour, Alcaraz is undoubtedly looking the best. 

Due to his on-court exploits in recent months, Alcaraz has acquired the status of an icon among the youth. In the fashion world too, he has started making some splash. A piece in Vogue magazine, which is filled with photoshoot imagery of the 19-year-old, gave his fans a chance to dwell deeper on the lifestyle of the man from Villena.

Alcaraz revealed how he still tries to hang out with his friends whenever he gets a chance on weekends. As for his relationship status, the former World No. 1 made it clear that he was single for the past 18 months. And the global schedule of the tour has something to do with it. “It’s complicated, never staying in one place. It’s hard to find a person who can share things with you if you’re always in different parts of the world,” Alcaraz said.

The former World No. 1 has impressed the tennis world even in his very short career. Alcaraz has already won 7 ATP Tour-level singles titles, including the 2022 US Open and two Masters 1000 titles. He spends most of his time on the court either competing or practicing but he also has another interesting hobby. 

“I love chess. Having to concentrate, play against someone else, strategy, having to think ahead. I think all of that is very similar to the tennis court,” Alcaraz said. “You have to intuit where the other player is going to send the ball, you have to move ahead of time, and try to do something that will make him uncomfortable. So I play it a lot.”

Having missed out on the earlier part of the season due to injury, Alcaraz is making most of the time lost. After his return, Alcaraz won the Argentina Open and is looking strong in the Rio Open. It is certain that in the current season, he wil further raise his profile.
