The 2023 Wimbledon champion has already won a lot this year including 1 Grand Slam and 2 Masters titles as well. However, the former tennis player, Alex Corretja feels this year can prove to be even better if Alcaraz steps up and manages to win the ATP Finals in Turin. He has won a total of 6 titles this year and winning the prestigious ATP Finals will make this season perfect for the Spaniard, according to Corretja.
Talking about all that Carlos Alcaraz has achieved this season, Alex Corretja added,
“He went and won his first major on hard courts, then the biggest major for him on grass at Wimbledon. He just knocked down every barrier that he faced, and I think mentally he is ready.”

Alex Corretja says irrespective of the ATP Finals, Carlos Alcaraz has had an amazing 2023 season
Alex Corretja also discussed how winning the ATP Finals will be an additional plus point in this season for Carlos Alcaraz. Despite Alcaraz’s best efforts he will have to see Novak Djokovic finish as the year-end World No. 1. Nole confirmed his place following his win over Holger Rune in his first match at the 2023 ATP Finals.
Corretja however feels Alcaraz can still finish with a perfect season. Commenting further he added,
“His season will be still huge and great. If he finishes winning the ATP Finals, of course that would be like a 10 out of 10, perfect season. If not, he might have a 9.5 out of 10 or 9.75 at least, I would say.”

Carlos Alcaraz is all set to face German, Alexander Zverev in the opening round of the ATP Finals. The Spaniard has had a disappointing season since the start of the Asian leg of the season. His chances of reclaiming his No.1 position has also been lost as Novak Djokovic has safely secures his World No.1 ranking with a win against Holger Rune in the first round of the ATP Finals.
Nevertheless, Carlos can definitely make an impact by a good and strong performance at the ATP Finals and end the year on a good note.
