The World No.2, Carlos Alcaraz has had a good year on tour this season winning the Wimbledon earlier this year and defeating the 24-time Grand Slam champion, Novak Djokovic.

Goal for 2024? Win another Grand Slam and a Medal at the Olympics. If I have to choose only one: - Winning the Gold Medal in Paris.Carlos Alcaraz speaking after his victory at Carlos Alcaraz Cup
Carlos Alcaraz recently played an exhibition match against Novak Djokovic in Saudi Arabia where they were involved in an intense clash where the Serbian got the upper hand. Apart from winning his maiden Wimbledon championship this year, he also had a good run at the French Open where he reached the semi-finals only to lose out to the 24-time Grand Slam champion.
In the coming season, the World No.2 has clarified his intention of aiming for an Olympic gold as he prioritises the 2024 Paris Olympics above the Grand Slams in the 2024 season. An Olympic medal is still a dream for many tennis athletes and holds a lot of value as they represent their nation in the quest of a medal. It will definitely be interesting to see how things turn out for Carlos Alcaraz as he gears up to perform his best at the Olympics next year.
Carlos Alcaraz will most probably join hands with Rafael Nadal to represent Spain at the 2024 Paris Olympics
As the 22-time Grand Slam champion, Rafael Nadal is going forward to play one final season on tour in the upcoming year, he has time and again expressed his desire to play at the 2024 Paris Olympics alongside fellow tennis player and countryman, Carlos Alcaraz in the doubles category of the tournament.
He hopes to have a good run at the Olympics and aims to retire once the tournament comes to an end.
Carlos Alcaraz has also reciprocated the same feelings as he has stated that it will be an honour for him to play doubles alongside his childhood idol as he does not have much time left on the tennis court. The two will most probably pair together and try to win an Olympic medal for their nation.
