World No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz drops out of the first Grand Slam of the season. As the Spaniard faced a crushing defeat at the hands of Alexander Zverev, it resulted in back-to-back heartbreaks for the 20-year-old. 

It would not be wrong to say that the Spaniard was not on his own for the majority of the match, as Zverev dominated the first two sets and ultimately clinched the match by winning the fourth set.

However, apart from the results, another visual caught the attention of the media. After the match, the 2023 Wimbledon winner proceeded for the post-match interview as usual.

During this, he was seen with white tape on the inside part of his elbow. The tape on the forearm indicates that he might have had doping tests after the match was completed. 

Doping tests have been a regular criterion in tournaments after guidelines from the World Anti-Doping Agency.

However, this was not the first time the Spaniard was questioned for such an action. Before this at the US Open last year, he was seen taking pills in the middle of the game. Besides, it caused a lot of fans to raise their eyebrows.

Since World No. 2 was identified with the blood marks, fans have drawn comparisons to Novak Djokovic. A Twitter account posted the photo of Alcaraz with the blood mark.
