Caroline Wozniacki drops out of WTA’s Middle East leg in Doha and Dubai, sets focus on “four grand slams and the Olympics”

Danish tennis ace Caroline Wozniacki has made a decision about which tournaments she will be taking part in this year. The mother of two who made a comeback after a long wait has decided that she will focus on Grand Slam tournaments and the Olympics. The Dane’s father and her coach, Piotr Wozniacki has revealed the 33-year-old will not travel to the Middle East for the WTA 100 tournaments.
Carlos Wozniacki will take a break after the 2024 Australian Open. She will return to the tour only before the Indian Wells. The 2018 Australian Open champion opened her 2024 campaign with the ASB Classics in Auckland. However, Wozniacki had to bow out of the WTA 250 tournament after facing a defeat at the hands of Elina Svitolina.

Now, the 33-year-old has shifted her focus to the year’s first Grand Slam where she has won her only Grand Slam title. Caroline Wozniacki is determined to add a couple of more major titles and hence she is picking and choosing the tournaments she will take part in. The Dane’s father revealed her plans for the 2024 season.

While winning Grand Slam titles remains a big goal for Caroline Wozniacki, an Olympic gold medal is what the Danish ace is focused on this year. As the 2024 Paris Olympics are scheduled to take place after the French Open, Wozniacki is fancying her chances to get a place.

Although the eligibility criteria for participation in the 2024 Paris Olympics is a bit complicated for the Dane, Wozniacki is not giving up on the dream yet. Piotr Wozniacki revealed that winning the gold medal remains the biggest goal for this season.
She wants to play in the Olympics, and I hope that she will be allowed with all the rules that are now in place. Hopefully she can win the dream medal for her country that she so wants. Hopefully all the Lego blocks are in the right place so she can get that medal for her country and herself. That is the most important goalPiotr Wozniacki said.
Notably, Wozniacki had revealed that she wants to partner with Holger Rune for the mixed doubles at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
