Since the start of April, tennis fans have been enjoying a field day with different April Fool’s pranks on social media. However, today a tennis fan posted a prank about Casper Ruud missing the Paris Olympics for an ATP 250 event, which got the Norwegian’s hilarious reaction.
For context, Ruud has won ten ATP titles but all have come from competing in ATP 250 events which hardly attract Top players.

This season, he couldn’t win an ATP 1000 event despite reaching the finals in Los Cabos and Acapulco. Just after exiting the Miami Open round of 16, the Norwegian headed to the Estoril Open to defend his title.
Tennis fans have now come to terms with the 25-year-old love for playing and winning an ATP 250 event, and that prompted an X (formerly known as Twitter) user to add the Norwegian name to the list of players who would prefer to skip the Summer Paris Olympics and play at the Austrian ATP 250 Kitzbühel event.
For the uninitiated, the event starts on July 24 and ends on August 1, the same period the Olympics will be played.
Meanwhile, a fan reacted to supposed speculation as though it was true, claiming that the World No. 8 will be skipping the Olympics for a ATP 250 event.
So Casper Ruud is skipping Olympics for a meaningless 250 again but I'm a hater for speaking the truth. The X user reacted in a now deleted tweet
Ruud replied to the fan revealing that it was an April Fool’s prank and nothing more.

Besides that, Ruud has not yet made it public whether he will be playing at the Paris Olympics but being ranked World No. 8 in the ATP rankings he has a place in the 59-players list.
