Christopher Eubanks knocked out the likes of Thiago Monteiro, Cameron Norrie, Christopher O’Connell, and Stefanos Tsitsipas during his 2023 Wimbledon campaign. However, in the quarterfinal, his run was stopped by Russia’s Daniil Medvedev, who eliminated Eubanks in five sets 6-4, 1-6, 4-6, 7-6(7-4), 6-1.

And though he lost the match, he also broke Andre Agassi‘s 31-year-old record. He hit a whopping 331 winners during his run. In 1992, Agassi had smashed 317 winners at Wimbledon.

Another interesting fact about the 27-year-old American was that he also made his debut this year at the All England Tennis and Croquet Club. Before Wimbledon, around four months ago, Eubanks found it difficult to be ranked among the top 100 players in the Pepperstone ATP Rankings. And suddenly, he was on the cusp of lifting the Wimbledon trophy on debut. He attracted considerable attention from the watchers of tennis from around the world.

Eubanks has been playing aggressive tennis this season and has won 16 out of 27 matches. His performance on the grass court has been the most impressive, as he won his maiden title at the Mallorca Championships by defeating Adrian Mannarino.
