American World No.32 Christopher Eubanks has his say on the GOAT debate. According to the young American, the best player is the one who should have the best numbers statistically, and as of now, Novak Djokovic is that player. He refuses to side with Roger Federer or Rafael Nadal, who are more popular and have contributed to the tennis fraternity more than the Serbian, according to their fans.
Eubanks stated, “Some might say Federer meant more to the sport and I’m not really going to argue with them about that if that’s what your tennis GOAT means. Mine is just the best tennis player. You can take this player, drop him on any surface against any opponent. Djokovic is that player.“
The GOAT debate is one that has always had arguments in any sport. Tennis is also no different as still, the fans of Big-3 players come up with their own arguments to state that their player is the best. Nevertheless, As Eubanks stated, with 23 Grand Slam titles to his name, Djokovic has the better numbers as of now. (H/T: We Love Tennis)
Christopher Eubanks reached his first Grand Slam quarter-final at Wimbledon

The 27-year-old American Christopher Eubanks played the best tennis of his life in the recently concluded Wimbledon where he reached the last eight before losing to Daniil Medvedev in five sets. Before the quarters, he beat the Greek World No.5 Stefanos Tsitsipas in the pre-quarter-finals. That thriller was also played out in five sets as the American star came back twice from a set down in the match.
Following the deep run in Wimbledon, Eubanks lost in the quarter-finals of the Atlanta Open against unseeded Australian Aleksandar Vukic. Being the fifth seed of the tournament, Eubanks was the favorite to win the quarters, but Vukic had different plans for the day.
If Eubanks can play with a lot more consistency, he will be a force to reckon with in the upcoming North American hardcourt swing. The American will be playing the Citi Open to start the hard-court wing.
