On Sunday, August 20, the two emerging players will take on each other for the Cincinnati Masters title. Earlier on Saturday, America’s Gauff beat World No. 1 Iga Swiatek in a clash that lasted nearly three hours. On the same day, Muchova defeated the second seed Aryna Sabalenka in a yet another thrilling encounter.

The two would be facing each other for the first time ever in the upcoming round. Both of the players are headstrong and are good at dominating their opponents from the baseline. With the Final round on Sunday, Gauff will make history for being the first teenager to reach the Cincinnati finals since Vera Zvonareva in 2004.

In the Semi-finals, the 26-year-old beat Sabalenka easily in the second and third sets after losing the first. “I don’t think we even ever practiced together,” Muchova said, talking about her first clash on-court with Coco. “I know she is a great mover. Powerful, again. I saw some rallies today when she played Iga. Very, very tough. Like every round here, it’s very tough. I’m looking forward to that.”
