Loads of fans have heavily criticized the organizers of the Cincinnati Open and the WTA for the horrible color of the court used in the Cincinnati Open final between Coco Gauff and Karolina Muchova. Apparently, it hindered the visibility of the ball, which was an issue for both the spectators and the two players.
It can be witnessed in the clips from the match as well. The visibility of the ball is almost zero in all the videos that have been posted online, which has really annoyed tennis fans.
Talking about the match between Gauff and Muchova, it was won by the American youngster as she cruised past the Czech opponent 6-3, 6-4, defeating her in straight sets. With this, Coco’s brilliant performance in the last few months continues. She won the Citi Open at the start of August, reached the quarterfinals of the Canadian Open, and has now won the Cincinnati Open.

Twitter reacts to poor ball visibility in the Cincinnati Open final between Coco Gauff and Karolina Muchova

In almost all the clips from the final match between Karolina Muchova and Coco Gauff that were posted on the WTA’s official Twitter (now known as X) page, the visibility of the ball was zero, and the fans obviously reacted to it in the replies. It started with the first video of the final that WTA posted on their Twitter page. It was a beautiful rally between the two players, but sadly, it could not be cherished properly as the ball was nowhere to be seen.
The youngster will now travel to Queens for the US Open, which starts on August 28th. Coco Gauff is now one of the favorites to win the Grand Slam, as she has defeated some strong rivals in these past three tournaments. The biggest win of them all was definitely the one against Iga Swiatek in the Cincinnati Open Semi-final. It was the first time that Gauff beat the World No. 1 after having met her seven times previously.
