Wimbledon has officially banned Russian and Belarusian players from participating in the tournament. Many people disagree with them, this is because banning individual players on the basis of their nationality is wrong. Even the ATP and WTA are against Wimbledon on this decision. They also called it “unfair” and”very disappointing”.Clay Travis the American commentator and sports journalist has also shown his disapproval of Wimbledon’s decision. He has posted a video on Twitter with regards to his disapproval of the decision.

In the video, Clay Travis says that he disagrees with Wimbledon on banning the Russian and Belarusian players. He believes that they should not ban individuals athletes from representing themselves as this is not the Olympics. He is of the opinion that we should not judge players for the choices their country makes because we don’t know what the players think about the invasion of Ukraine. Clay also added with the example of China that he feels action should be taken against China and not individual athletes of China. In the video Travis strongly opposed the invasion but said that banning an individual from playing for completion is “mob rule” and “social justice anarchy.” Travis directly said that Wimbledon got it wrong.
